Goodwill Industries

When Goodwill Industries of the Colombia Willamette needs brand imaging at regional retail locations, they count on Digitype Design. Most companies employing strong visuals and messaging see increased brand awareness from consumers. Goodwill Industries is no exception to that merchandising principle. They’re successful at providing cohesive in-store environments promoting a sense of organization, translating to a comfortable shopping experience.

Based on the Goodwill store interior design sign placement makes it easier for shoppers to navigate isles and check out. In one case, achieving a metallic looking messaging display at a cashier stand became a design and marketing challenge.

Digitype Design applied their substrate expertise to the test. Using an existing metallic sided alloy was an option, but the surface wasn’t appropriate for digital imaging. A simple yet effective solution was produced by combining a glittering digitally-printed material with clear acrylic. Installing the piece with wall stand-offs provided a dimensional aspect rarely achievable with thin metal alone.

Not every store has the need or space to use large circular hanging logo banners traditionally seen in massive tradeshow venues. But they are the perfect answer for a new Goodwill Superstore created along the open concept continuum. The pieces seamlessly integrate messaging while adding a balanced dimension to an industrial beamed ceiling.

Goodwill Industries is just one company of many that gain valuable results from the Digitype Design out-of-the-box thinking. It’s easy to see that tapping into their extensive project experience provides tangible benefits for the real world.
